Job Title: Digital Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Digital Design Engineer to develop and support products and systems for communications, cyber, and related applications for United States government, commercial, and international customers. Candidates are expected to have 5-15 years of related work experience. The qualified candidate must be capable of supporting electronics specification, design, development, and production of complete products and systems. The candidate must demonstrate an understanding in the use of various software tools supporting various functions in electrical engineering including but not limited to analog and digital design, timing analysis, board layout, and board-level RF analysis.

Responsibilities
• Perform electrical and related designs for product development.
• Support system design and integration into airborne, ground, mobile, and fixed-site applications.
• Support system integration and test activities.
• Design electrical hardware and generate parts drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials.
Essential Skills
• Digital circuit design and analysis, including state-of-the-art microprocessors, memories, and related components.
• Schematic capture using tools such as Altium.
• Low voltage power supply analysis and design for printed circuit boards.
• Electronics simulation, modeling, and timing analysis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Familiarity with commercial product production processes.
• Knowledge of industry certification standards and processes, both commercial and defense-related.
• Experience in board-level component layout.
• Understanding of system engineering processes and concepts.
• Well-versed in methodologies related to Design for Testability and Design for Manufacturability.
• Skills in integration, troubleshooting, and testing.
• Experience in verification and validation of products to applicable standards and customer requirements.
Work Environment

The company is based in Frederick, MD, providing products and services to United States intelligence, military, and homeland security organizations. They specialize in systems engineering, electronic product development, and contract management services to the Federal Government and its prime contractors. The company is a premier developer of integrated surveillance and reconnaissance systems on manned and unmanned airborne, ground, surface, and man-packable platforms. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $76.92/hr.
