Data Centre Electrical Engineer (Design & Delivery) | Johor

About the Company

We are looking for Data Centre Electrical Engineer (Design & Deliver) to oversee data centre design, site construction, and quality control.

Job Responsibilities:

• Site & Construction Management
  • Manage data centre design and construction phases on-site.
  • Monitor daily construction activities closely.
  • Check construction quality and ensure high safety (HSE) standards.
  • Ensure the facility is built exactly to the group's standard.
• Design & Engineering Review
  • Review and approve the work of design consultants.
  • Ensure design documents have all needed engineering calculations.
  • Keep internal engineering standards up to date, focusing on power distribution and safety systems.
  • Support internal engineering design and development projects.
• Vendor Coordination & Handover
  • Communicate with consultants, contractors, and vendors to get all needed results.
  • Support and manage project testing, troubleshooting, and final handover.
  • Establish engineering and operation SOPs / procedures based on company standards.
  • Travel between different project locations when required.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer preferred.
• Relevant Uptime/TIA certificates preferred.
• At least 6 years of experience in Electrical/Power design (33kV/132kV/275kVsubstations) and data centre construction project.
• Strong knowledge in Electrical HV/MV power distribution.
• Good understanding of data centre projects and safety protection studies.
• Experience in Mechanical HVAC software, such as IES.
• Familiar with TNB/local authorities' procedure, standard code and requirement.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Fluent in Chinese, Bahasa Indonesia, or Malay is a plus to help work with regional teams.
