MITRE is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and self-directed undersea systems engineer to lead systems engineering initiatives across our diverse Navy sponsor base. The successful candidate will be able to communicate mission impact of complex technical capabilities to senior government and MITRE stakeholders to shape and influence program objectives. Joint and Maritime Undersea Operations and Intelligence Analysis
Typically, Bachelor’s degree in or equivalent education in Intelligence Analysis, Undersea Communications, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity with 10 years of relevant experience in Undersea Warfare Acoustics Analysis, or a related field; or 8 years and an MS or a PhD with 5 years of experience , or related discipline with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job
Strong technical foundation in electrical engineering, applied mathematics, physics, computer engineering, systems engineering, cybersecurity, or related discipline .
Experience with one or more of the following: combat system, communication system, sensing systems, and /or weapon system design and employment for undersea warfare.
Experience working with the US intelligence community
Excellent problem solving, communication, and technical writing skills.
Active Top Secret/SCI level security clearance.
Willing to work within a secure facility - a significant portion of the candidate's tasks may be restricted from remote work.
MS and/or PhD in electrical engineering, applied mathematics, physics, computer engineering, systems engineering, cybersecurity, or related discipline .
Expertise in communicating mission impact of complex technical concepts and capabilities to senior government stakeholders
Research and development experience on one or more of the following areas: undersea command, control, and communications, weapon systems, or sensing systems
Eligibility to obtain SAP security clearance.
