The ASIC Engineer II (Intern) position at Cisco Systems, Inc. is designed for individuals who are passionate about hardware design and development. This role involves participating in the design, development, and verification of high-performance communications processors and ASICs for a variety of Cisco products. Interns will collaborate with various teams within Cisco, contributing to innovative projects that impact global communications and networking technologies.

Responsibilities
• Participate in the design, development, and verification of high-performance communications processors and ASICs.

• Collaborate with development teams including marketing, system hardware, software, product engineering, and manufacturing.
,
• Contribute to system architecture, network processor architecture, and Ethernet processing.
,
• Engage in digital signal processing, modeling, and high-speed logic design & verification.
,
• Assist in custom processor development and memory design.
,
• Work on physical design, DFT, signal integrity, and complex packaging technology.

Requirements
• Upcoming graduate of a technical degree or certification program from a Technical Boot Camp, Apprenticeship, Community College or 4-Year University.

• Recently completed or actively enrolled in a Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related program.

• Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and technical problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with ASIC design flow, including RTL design using VHDL or Verilog, simulation, synthesis, timing analysis, and verification.

• Knowledge of EDA tools used in the ASIC design process.
