ASIC Design Engineer - Microelectronics

Description
We are seeking an experienced ASIC Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of custom microelectronics in support of important mission-critical projects. The ideal candidate will have a background in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms and FPGA implementation, and will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary design team. This role will involve supporting integration, testing, and verification of the final products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct technical and programmatic assessments of microelectronics technologies and capabilities for the U.S. Defense Industrial Base
• Collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders in government, industry, and academia
• Provide occasional technical or field support as needed
• Perform experimental tests on SoC evaluation boards and evaluate results to inform next-generation component selection
• Engage with external customers, suppliers, and peer groups
• Prepare status reports for project managers and division production manager
Basic Qualifications:
• U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a TS clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field, with 8 years of experience
• Experience with DSP fundamentals, FPGA implementation, Matlab/Simulink, and microchip EDA tools and flows
• Expertise in microelectronics hardware in at least one of the specific areas listed
• Hardware programming experience in FPGA and other languages
Preferred Qualifications:
• 8+ years of experience leading a design team
• Experience in hardware test and measurement, and hands-on lab debug
• Familiarity with interfaces such as ADC/DACs, SerDes, PCIe, JTAG, DDRx
