Our Converged Sensors team is part of Rotary & Mission Systems' (RMS) Enterprise Technologies (eTech) organization accelerating multi-mission aperture & multi-mission processing technologies through research, development, & demonstrations. Converged Sensor is partnered across multiple lines of business within RMS as well other Lockheed Martin Business Areas to transition these capabilities to new products & insertion opportunities. Who You Are
Our team is seeking a game-changing ASIC & FPGA technical leader to help design, develop, & deliver enabling capabilities on our Converged Sensors' firmware team. In this role, you will perform development and firmware architect tasks on a product team identifying, prototyping, & deploying state-of-the-art Radio Frequency (RF) transceivers with high performance embedded processors into integrated system solutions. What You Will Do (The Work) - Develop and test Firmware to support deployment of Radar and Electronic Warfare capabilities to FPGAs - Define FPGA solutions supporting RF transceivers, waveform generators, & digital signal processing pipelines
- Engage across a cross-functional organization to translate system level needs into digital architecture & requirements - Collaborate with product teams on embedded systems design for multi-node, heterogeneous compute architecture focused on digital signal processing (DSP)
- Own definition & development of Board Support Packages (BSP) to support RF transceiver & compute applications Please note: This position can be based out of either King of Prussia, PA, Owego NY or Liverpool NY. - Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent field
- Minimum of 7-9 years of relevant development experience
- Experience working with Intel/Altera and/or AMD devices
- Prior FPGA architecture experience - Firmware implementation experience using VHDL and/or System Verilog
- Deep understanding of how to realize digital signal processing algorithms on FPGAs
- Prior experience integrating FPGAs with both RF & Digital I/O transceivers
- Active or ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance
- Ability to support up to 10% travel
Desired Skills:
- Master's degree or higher in relevant field
- Prior role supporting Radar and/or Electronic Warfare systems
- Familiarity with Software Defined Radios & VITA 49.2 standard
- Experience with Vitis High Level Synthesis (HLS) tools & concepts
- Understanding of embedded software development
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
