TITLE: Analog Electrical Engineer (US Citizenship REQUIRED)
CLEARANCE: Secret, obtainable within reasonable time based on requirements
LOCATION: ONSITE West Valley UT 84119 (no relocation package)
RATE RANGE: $55/hr - $68/hr W2 (no health benefits while on contract)

POSITION DESCRIPTION
As a Analog Electrical Engineer, you’ll be a member of or lead a cross functional team dedicated to the development of military-grade electronics and underwater acoustic systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Analyze and design analog circuits including signal conditioning, power, transformers, inductors, amplifiers
• Integrate, test, troubleshoot, and verify electrical hardware
• Develop test criteria and assist in the design of test systems
• Perform component and architecture trade studies to determine optimal system solutions
• Develop technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and the Navy customer
• Generate design and interface documentation
REQUIREMENTS
Working knowledge of op-amps and transistors, including Bipolar, JFETs and MOSFETs
Familiarity with low noise preamplifiers
Working knowledge of transformers and inductors, and how to size them including key parameters such as flux density magnetizing current, leakage inductance, transformer and inductors losses and temperature rise.
Familiarity with active filter design and PLL design
Experience with the engineering development life cycle, including concept, requirements, design, implementation and test phases
Experience with analog circuit design including signal integrity principles
Proficiency in all phases of PCB design, including: creation of high-level functional and architectural diagrams, SPICE analysis, power analysis, component selection, schematic entry (OrCAD Capture experience a plus), and working with the PCB layout team to optimize placement, signal integrity, fitment, etc.
Strong documentation and communication skills
Experience with the following a plus: battery systems, electric motors, and MATLAB programming, solder rework of prototype circuit card assemblies, underwater acoustic principles
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
