About the position

Responsibilities
• Develop test plans, procedures, and scripts to be executed on the Vehicle Test Bed (VTB).
• Conduct formal verification and validation testing and document test results per program requirements.
• Support the integration of vehicle hardware, ground support equipment, operator consoles, and analysis tooling necessary to verify the requirements and performance of units under test within the VTB.
• Debug and troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a lab environment.
• Design, develop, and implement VTB test tools and software to automate testing processes and improve efficiency.
• Support integration and test activities including wiring, hardware installation, and test bench setup.
• Participate in design and system reviews to provide feedback on integration and testability throughout all phases of the project.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate hardware simulation and fault injection solutions with real-time vehicle simulations.

Requirements
• B.S. in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline.
• Proficient in the use of standard electronic lab tests and troubleshooting equipment.
• Ability to thrive as a member of a small, tightly integrated team.
• Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice-to-haves
• M.S. degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline.
• Experience with the development and execution of a large-scale verification of avionics on autonomous spaceflight systems.
• Experience supporting testbeds for spaceflight systems.
• Experience with programming in C++ and/or Python, Simulink experience.
