CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

As a Power Design electrical engineer for Undersea Systems, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for developing Undersea Communication systems.

We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences:
• High Voltage DC Power systems / Module design. Experience should include multiple power topology design experience from few watts to KW+ converters.
• High voltage applications, power transmission systems, power electronics and HVDC technology

What sets you apart:
• Expert level understanding of electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools and mixed Signal circuit analysis/design
• Solid use of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories
• Circuit Design expertise
• Analog design and instrumentation (design and analysis)
• Feedback / Control systems experience
• Power System architecture and grounding
• Isolated Switching Converters
• Transmission Line Effects in power systems
• EMI test and control methods (MIL-STD-461, FCC / IDE / VDE, etc)
• Magnetics Design and High Speed Design experience are desirable
• Strong troubleshooting ability: must be able to diagnose a problem by narrowing the point of failure sequentially through components
• The use of specialized laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment for development, testing, and troubleshooting
• Experience in writing specifications, requirements, and verification procedures for complex electronic systems and components
• Ahead of technology trends with Research & Development (R&D) experience, as well as advanced proficiency in test, troubleshooting, and analyzing circuit card schematics
• Motivated to drive innovation around design architectures, assembly, component selection, and electronics design
• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with demonstrated success leading design teams for complex projects
• Team player committed to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
• Ability to travel as needed
